Saturday - Day 6
By: Jessie Locker
Jessie serves on staff as our Next Gen. Director and has a passion to see our youth find Jesus and purpose.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor. If either of them falls, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up."
Being in community with other believers is so important in a persons walk with Jesus. This next week we are going to kids camp and at the end of the month we are going to youth camp. Camp is a time for our young people to go deeper in their relationship with Jesus, but also to develop deeper relationship with people who are going after Him. God moves at camp. Im not saying God doesn't move in our everyday lives because he totally does. Camp eliminates distraction and makes room for relationship to happen. When a student comes back from camp they will not only have grown in their spiritual walk, but they will have a community of people who they now know and trust holding them accountable.
As we prepare to leave for two weeks of summer camp I pray that Jesus would prepare the hearts of all of our young people going. That they would be open to all he has to offer. I pray that healing would take place, some would experience salvation, and that the truth would be made so fresh to each and everyone of them. I also pray that they would find someone who will walk this journey of faith out with them. That they would be intentional about building community with the other believers that will be there with them and then we would come back more united as a group.
