Throwback Video: Christmas Classic with Billy Graham (1983)

By Cheryl Mortimer By Cheryl Mortimer

Do you want to make this advent season more meaningful?  We have a treat for you, and it won't be taxing to your schedule or your wallet.  In fact, it will be a great opportunity to rest and receive refreshment for your weary soul.  Grab a warm drink and cozy blanket and then sit back, take a deep breath, relax, and listen for what God wants to give you through this nostalgic Christmas service with Billy Graham.  He offers a much-needed inspirational message to draw you closer to Jesus during this special - though often busy - time of year.

The late Billy Graham was a prolific evangelist credited with leading millions of people to salvation.  His simple, straightforward messages consistently focus on the core gospel message - that Jesus died for our sins so we can be forgiven and reconciled to God.  [Read more about him at the website for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.]

This Christmas message provides encouragement that Jesus frees us from being paralyzed by fear.  Highlighting various accounts in the Christmas story of people being visited by angels, he points out that we can have confidence in God's love.

Focusing on the real meaning of Christmas leaves a lasting impact.  Don't miss the life-changing story of Jesus this year.  I encourage you to attend a Christmas Eve Service in-person, read the true Christmas story in Luke 1:26-2:40 or Matthew 1:18-2:23, and spend some time connecting with and worshipping God through prayer and Christmas hymns.
