GCC Missions

GCC values missions. Jesus sent disciples out to evangelize the world; some to Jerusalem, some to Judea, and some to the ends of the earth. We use Jesus’ model by being involved in local missions and outreach, missions throughout New England, in national missions, and worldwide missions.
“Raising up a body of believers committed in relationship with Jesus Christ…” means being involved in missions both corporately and individually. One of our core values is to be devoted as members of the body to be both a hearer and a doer of the word, and that all Christians are to do the “work of the ministry”. Another core value is that we are devoted to releasing and reproducing. In relation to missions, this means that as a church we seek to send people to the mission field either in a full time or part time capacity. We have sent and help support missionary families in Russia, Quebec, and Rwanda. Through Foursquare Missions International (fmi.foursquare.org), GCC helps support missionaries around the world.

GCC has sent mission teams on short-term mission trips and more are in the planning stages. Internationally, we have sent teams to Tijuana, Mexico, Quebec, the Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica. Within the United States we have sent teams to New York City, Biloxi, Mississippi, and Waveland, Mississippi. These trips allow our body to be actively and personally involved in missions beyond just a missions offering, allowing the teams to see the world through new eyes.
We are also active in local outreach and missions. We actively participate in festivals and events throughout the region. We evangelize with love and acceptance at these events, stressing the relational aspects of our walk with Jesus Christ and with each other. We annually participate in Pembroke Old Home Days, Concord ’s Market Days and other local venues.
