Married: 19 years in November to “you know who!”

College: Oral Roberts University
Degree: Bachelor of Science in Elementary Ed.
Fields of Study: None at the moment
Most Significant Moment: Hmmm. . . Let me think . . . For me it was actually the time I spent as an Resident Advisor in college because it was like the Lord was preparing me to be in the ministry. I was the advisor to a floor of 30 young women for two years and I learned so much regarding leadership and loving people.
Risks: Here are a few . . . Leaving the farm and going to college in a big city . . . Stepping up in leadership at my college. . . Marrying a New Yorker (half Jewish/half Italian – kind of scary for a Midwesterner) . . . Moving to New England and leaving family and friends . . . Stepping up into ministry at a church where Peter was a youth pastor . . . Moving to New Hampshire and starting the church . . . Always keeping an open mind to new things the Lord asks me to do – including sky diving!
Adjectives: Goofy, stubborn, compassionate, friendly, animated, unorganized, loves to laugh, loves the Lord and loves people.
Mentor: My mom, Fran Lau, as well as a female pastor, Teri Orewiler
What it means to be a pastor: To me being a pastor means that I guide people to follow the Lord as I walk alongside of them. As a pastor I am elevated to the role of servant as I model what Christ taught. Encouraging people, loving people, persevering alongside those who are hurting, crying with those who weep and laughing with those who are full of joy. . . This, to me, is what being a pastor is all about.
