You might be wondering why Grace Capital Church is even bringing up the ‘green’ conversation. In the world today, green is a politically charged topic with strong opinions on both sides. Be assured that we aren’t suggesting green behavior for political or environmental reasons but only for obedience to God’s direction concerning stewardship.
A few of the things that we have done around our facility to be better stewards of what we have been entrusted with are:
*include recycling bins throughout the facility to reduce the waste that ends up in landfills.
*better insulate our building. With cold winter temps and warm summer temps we are making better use of our HVAC system and reducing the amount of energy needed to heat and cool the facility.
*install waterless urinals in our Youth Center. Thousands of gallons of clean water are saved by using the water-free technology.
We're not mandating what you should do to be better stewards, but we do believe that God calls us to all seek Him and to be faithful with whatever He has entrusted to us, including the earth. Pray and ask the Lord about what He would have you do!
